Kathy Marshall has been designing kitchens as well as baths, libraries and studies for close to 20 years. Her extensive product and design knowledge has been accumulated by working on projects all over the country. In 1993 Kathy and her father, Ed MacDonald, started a very successful design firm on the South Shore of Boston, MA. Since then she has started her own firm, K. Marshall Design, Inc., on the North Shore, in Wenham, MA.
From the distinctive, traditional designs of grand kitchens of the Northeast to the open, rustic beauty of some of the finest homes and kitchens in the Southwest, Kathy has been commissioned to design kitchens for homes ranging from $500,000 to $10 million. Her innovative and family-focused designs and use of custom cabinetry, furniture, tile and accessories have not gone unnoticed by national publications and design awards. Kathy has won several awards from the National Kitchen and Bath Association and has been published in several national magazines. In addition, her designs have been used by the prestigious appliance manufacturer, AGA to showcase their line of world renowned stoves and ovens.
This Old House-Fall 2012: K.Marshall Design was selected to work on her fourth This Old House Project, designing the kitchen,family room, powder, kids bath and master bathroom.
This Old House - Fall 2011: K. Marshall Design was selected to work on her third This Old House Project, designing the kitchen and walk-in pantry for the Bedford, MA project.
This Old House - Fall 2006: K. Marshall Design was asked to design the kitchen for the newest This Old House Project in East Boston, MA.
This Old House - Fall 2004: K. Marshall Design was selected by This Old House to design the kitchen, home office, laundry room and pantry for the house being used to highlight the 25th Anniversary of the This Old House program. The house is located in Carlisle, MA.
